A cakewalk for Transport

Transport United FC gets an easy win humbling Gomo FC 5-0 at Changlingmithang today. The visitors were down on energy since they made 2 blunders in the starting minutes which had them giving in to TUFC’s pressure easily.

Netting 2 own goals within the first 10 minutes of match commencement, Gomo FC seemed to be lacking mindfulness today. The first suicide goal went in when Gomo defender Sonam Dorji attempted to clear the ball and the 2nd one was a deflection by his mate Yeshi Wangchuk. Transport United FC went 3 goals ahead when they were awarded PK for handball in the d-area and Sampa Tshering’s direct shot hit the back of the net right pass the Gomo goalie Karma Dorji.

They went ahead adding on goals, even in the second half as their captain for the day Phurpa Tenzin, headed in the corner kick at 52 minutes. At 70 minutes came the wrap up goal of the day from their star Tsenda Dorji when he converted an exceptional assist from fellow Sonam Dorji to end the game in 5-0 by the full time.

“The fact that we are already relegated must be impacting my boys but I always tell them that it is an opportunity to get exposure and to give their best” said Ms. Denka, the head coach of Gomo FC.

Transport United FC, is just 4 points below Thimphu City FC but has a hard way ahead as they are to face Paro FC, Thimphu City FC and High Quality United FC in their remaining 3 matches.

For the next match we will have High Quality United FC vs Thimphu City FC on Saturday at Changlimithang.
