Goal fest at Woochu

Ugyen Academy FC grabs a very tough 3 crucial points of BoB Bhutan Premier League 2021 winning 4-5 to Paro Rinpung FC today at Woochu Sports Arena. The team they easily won over at their home ground, gave them a serious thread.

Paro Rinpung FC took their visitors by surprise going ahead early at 3 minutes through their forward Pemba Tshering but just a few moments later, UAFC’s Karma Cheltrim equalized with his precise freekick which flew right pass the Rinpung goalie.

The away team threatened the host in later minutes but they saw a impeccable counter-attack as they had their injured goalie Tenzin Dorji guardless as Rinpung’s Kinley Tshering slotted in the assist from Pemba Tshering. Shortly after, PRFC Kinley Wangchuk had the empty post to shoot in thier 3rd goal for the day. But within the next 10 minutes a goal each from Chhuma Dorji and Siddharth Gurung equalized the score.

The second half inclined in favor of Ugyen Academy FC as they found the net within the first few minutes through Chhuma Dorji but was disallowed for offside. Nevertheless, they managed to go ahead at 61 minutes with Chhuma’s second goal of the day and Karma Cheltrim made it 5 in the 71st minute.

To their dreaded nightmare, PRFC was stranded with 10 man as their goalie Kinley Wangchuk was showed red card at 64 minutes. This didn’t keep the Paro District League 2021 winner Rinpung FC trying for more at the pulled one back at 81 minutes when their forward Kinley Wangchuk hit the back of the net ending the game in 4-5 win of the visitors.
