A double hat-trick from Tshering Yangden and a goal each from Dorji Edon, Jamyang Choden and Sunita Rai gave Ugyen Academy Women’s FC got a large margin win against Mandala FC today at Ugyen Academy ground today.

The game swung in the favor of the hosts as the UAWFC striker Tshering Yangden took the ball pass Mandala goalie. Soon after at 15 minutes the home team were awarded a PK for foul in d-area and UA captain Dorji Edon doubled their lead. Then again followed 2 goals at 30 and 42 minutes respectively by forward Jamyang Choden and their striking star Tshering Yangden.

After the interval, Mandala claimed their consolation goal throught their forward Sonam Wangmo with a chip but UAWFC found the net just a minute after throught Tshering Yangden followed by 4 more goals. Tshering Yangden slotted the goals at 61 minutes, 86 minutes and during the stoppage time. The pro-assist of UA Sunita Rai also found the net at 82 minutes on the clock ending the game in 9-1 lead of the home team.

“I didn’t think that we would be able to make them concede 9 goals considering the fact that they are not a weak team so i am very happy that my girls gave their best” said coach Denka, UAWFC.

For the next match we will have Yangchenphug WFC vs Paro WFC at Changlimithang tomorrow.
