Bhutan will face Maldives in the last match of the world cup qualifying round in Male, Maldives tomorrow. Bhutan is yet to register a win in the competition and sits at bottom of the table with no point.
Dragon Boys are determined and focused to win against the Maldives and end the tournament in a positive note but it wont be easy as the Red Snapper is one of the strongest team in the region and they have never lost to Bhutan in recent years.
“It will be up hill task for us and it is not easy to play away from home, but we will play to our potential and try to win,” said Chimi Dorji, defender. He said that Maldives is a very strong team.
On other hand Bhutan suffers a huge setback as both of the center defenders Jigme T dorjee and Kinely Wangchuk is out with injury.
More bad news for Bhutan as captain Karun Gurung is also out with knee injury. Karun Gurung was injured during the friendly match against Buriram United in Thailand. Karma Shedrup Tshering the former captain will once again the led the team.
“Maldives is a strong team and it wont easy for us to come here and win but we will try to play a good football with positive mind” said Karma.
