Mandala claims their first 3 points of Round 2, Kelme-Bhutan National Women’s League 2021 by defeating Taktshang Women’s FC 0-2 at Woochu Sports Arena.
The visitors went ahead at 14 minutes through their forward Yeshi Dema by tapping in the precise cross from fellow midfielder Sonam Choden. Mandala was on a serious disadvantage side as they had majority of their usual players missing the game. However, they doubled their lead in the stoppage time before the interval with a long range beauty from their midfielder Sonam Choden.
After the interval, game seemed to be inclining towards the hosts as they went on attacking Mandala FC for quite a while but kept on squandering all the chances. But after 20 minutes into the game, Mandala got it in their favor and threatenned Taktshang. Sonam Choden almost claimed her 2nd goal of the day at 65 minutes on the clock but shot it too wide and in the additional time, their forward Sherab Wangmo took the ball right near the post but Taktshang goalie refused the attempt having to end the game in 0-2 lead of Mandala by the full time.
For the next match we will have Ugyen Academy WFC vs Paro WFC at Ugyen Academy ground tomorrow.
