With a hat-trick from Karma Zangmo, a brace from Neelu Maya Rai and a goal each from Dechen Lhazin Eden, Karma Wangmo and Deki Yangden, Paro Women’s FC grabs the 3 points today by defeating Taktshang Women’s FC at Woochu Sports Arena.

The team is held up by one of the youngest players of the league. Karma Wangmo, a 19 years old footballer, defying her petite physique is a tough defender and the Captain of Paro Women’s FC. Apart from that Karma has played in all the position with ease in the on-going Kelme-Bhutan National Women’s League 2021 and proved her versality.

Karma is selected as a defender in the National Team that will be representing Bhutan in the upcoming SAFF U19 Championship which is scheduled to kick off on 11th December in Bangladesh.

Despite being down with cold after their outing against UAWFC, Paro Captain had their unbreakable defense line locked up in the first half and after the break she came forward and assisted the 6th and 7th goal. She was named the Woman of the match for the day.

“She is our fittest player and the most capable one to take the lead. She is versatile and has leadership quality to keep the team together thriving for more” said the gaffer of Paro WFC when asked about their team captain.

Taktshang faced excessive pressure from the hosts but they almost earned themselves a consolation goal at 65 minutes however it was refused by Paro goalie having to end the game in 8-0 win of Paro WFC by the full time.

For the next match we will have Sunrise Women’s FC vs Yangchenphug Women’s FC at Changlimithang tomorrow.
