Bhutan is ready to host one of the biggest tournaments ever in the historic Changlimithang stadium and first of its kind in the country.
The SAFF U-18 Championship 2017 will be the second edition of the SAFF U-19 Championship, an international football competition for men’s under-18 national teams organized by SAFF in the SAARC region.
This tournament landmarks progression of Football in Bhutan and it is just a stepping-stone for many big tournaments to come in the future.
There are total of 5 teams (INDIA, BHUTAN, NEPAL, and BANGLADESH AND MALDIVES). Sri Lanka withdrew from the tournament where as Pakistan didn’t take part due to internal turmoil. After Sri lanka opted out from the event. Now the championship will be played on round robin basis. Each team will face every other team once respectively and the team with the most number of points will win the title.
