Sunrise rose after interval
Sunrise WFC defeats Paro WFC 0-5 in their own backyard today. Paro officially ends their journey of Kelme-Bhutan Women’s National League 2021 on 4th position.
The hosts played a very intense game against the table topper until the half but eventually gave in during the additional time before the break to Sonam Yangchen’s free kick. However, in the second half the goal-gate got openned as the visitors found net thrice through captain Galey Wangmo and Tandin Zangmo added yet another to the scoreline.
Undeniably a player to watch in the squad of the table topper is Pema Choden Tshering the key player and midfielder of Sunrise Women’s FC . It won’t be wrong to say that football runs deep in her blood as her father, Mr. Hishey Tshering, the club owner of Thimphu City FC is a football enthusiast and her brother Orgyen Wangchuk Tshering has found his place in the new dragon squad for 2022.
Pema is not only capable on the pitch but has even more knowledge in case of football management field as she has graduated her FIFA Masters recently making her the only woman in country with the qualification. She was also in the first U15 team that has gone out to Sri Lanka to represent Bhutan in 2008.
For the next match we will have Ugyen Academy WFC vs Taktshang WFC tomorrow at Ugyen Academy ground.
