A brace each from Tsenda Dorji, Kinga Wangchuk and Singay Wangchuk, a goal each from Sampa Tshering and Phurpa Tenzin gave TRANSPORT UNITED FC a large margin win over the new Paro team RINPUNG FC today at Woochu Sports Arena.
Moving ahead with an early goal within 5 minutes of match commencement when the tall striker Sampa Tshering scored a glancing header goal converting the awesome free kick from captain Thinley Dorji, the visitors had the game in their favor. However, the hosts found the leveler at 27 minutes when they were awarded PK for a foul in the D-area and RINPUNG Tandin Wangchuk made the best of the chance by hitting the net with ease. The away team again went in front at 35 minutes on the clock with Kinga Wangchuk’s impeccable long-range goal followed by yet another glancing header goal, this time from their hat-trick star Tsenda Dorji few minutes before the break.
The second half started well for the hosts as their Captain Dawa Gyeltshen slotted the free kick directly into the net at 52 minutes but the newly substituted TUFC defense Singay Wangchuk found the net a minute after. At 60 minutes, striker Tsenda came back to the scene by volleying in a cross from Jigdrel Wangchuk. Kinga Wangchuk and Singay Wangchuk completed their brace at 72 and 73 minutes respectively and it was their midfielder Kinga Tshering wrapping up the scoring for the day at 75th minute.
Despite the disappointing loss, the team manager Mr. Namgay Dorji of RINPUNG FC rated his boys performance a 7-8 out of 10.
