TRANSPORT UNITED FC grabs an easy 3 crucial points of the league, humbling PARO RINPUNG FC 9-0 today at Changlimithang. Despite being stranded with 9 players against 10 visitors in the last few minutes, TUFC claimed a large-margin win and maintained the clean-sheet until the full time.
TRANSPORT UNITED FC went ahead very early at 3 minutes through their striker Tsenda Dorji and at 11 minutes, Jigdrel Wangchuk tapped in the awesome assist from the haul-star Dilip Monger to double their lead. After about 15 minutes, Jigdrel completed his brace, yet again tapping in a cross from Tsenda Dorji. The last goal of the starting half came from Tsenda Dorji when he nodded in the powerful header goal. PARO RINPUNG FC tried their best to “not repeat the same score line that of their first encounter” but having conceded 4 goals within the first half, their plan seemed to be failing miserably.
After the break, RINPUNG earned a very fortuitous PK at 55 minutes but their striker turned defender, Kinley Tshering’s shot proved to be a little too predictable as the TUFC goalie Hari Gurung simply cleared it off. Then followed the rain of 5 goals starting with Dilip Monger’s powerful shot at 61 minutes and at 80 minutes, the newly substituted striker Singay Wangchuk hit the back of the net.
The rage of the game got better of the players as a major brawl at 83 minutes lead to TUFC’s captain Thinley Dorji, defender Tshering Dhendup and PRFC’s midfielder Tshering Nidup being sent off leaving the teams with 9 and 10 players respectively. However, this didn’t tame the hosts quest for a large margin win as Singay Wangchuk, Sonam Wangyel and Jigdrel Wangchuk quick-fired a goal each in the last minutes. Jigdrel Wangchuk celebrated his first hat-trick of BoB Bhutan Premier League 2021 today.
For tomorrow, we will have THIMPHU CITY FC vs TENSUNG FC at Changlimithang.
