Women’s National Team 2022
The United States’ Women’s National Soccer Team is the world's top-ranked team and is even more popular than their men’s national team. Yet they had to fight for years to get paid equally as their male counterparts. Across the Atlantic, in its infancy state, the Bhutanese National Women’s Team will not only be paid a monthly salary but a salary on par with the Men's team as commanded by our gracious Druk Gyalpo. We, Bhutanese, are immensely blessed to be living under the wise and dynamic leadership of our Dharma king. Today, through the care of His Majesty and Bhutan Football Federation, 23 girls can follow their passion and help support their families, an achievement everyone aspires to. Thank you, Your Majesty. It is a great honour for the Dragon Girls to represent a nation guided by a selfless, visionary and benevolent leader.
AFC Women’s Day Contest
The Online Technical Contest (OTC) will be a virtual competition for girls whereby they will have to send us their video clips to showcase their technical abilities with football. The competition is exclusively for girls/women to celebrate the AFC Women’s Football Day on 8th March 2022.
This online contest aims to encourage more girls to play football and expand a community interest to participate in football to celebrate the day. The BFF continues our efforts to create a platform for talented girls to showcase their technical abilities on and off the field to promote and develop Women’s Football in the country.
