A hat-trick from the striking star Ngawang Choki, a brace each from Sherab Wangmo and Sonam Wangmo gave Mandala FC a comfortable win against Taktshang Women’s FC today at Changlimithang.

The hosts went ahead through their striker Ngawang Choki at 15 minutes on the clock. Taktshang almost got their equalizer after 3 minutes but squandered the chance. Mandala went ahead doubling their lead at 28 minutes with Sherab Wangmo’s shot and Sonam Wangmo netted her 1st goal of the league at 39th minutes making it 3-0. Ngawang Choki slotted her brace in the last few minutes of first half to end it in 4-0.

The second half saw the visitors intensely looking for a chance to make the leading team concede but the hosts went ahead scoring early at 52 minutes as Sonam Wangmo got her second goal. Sherab Wangmo also got her double at 72 minutes and Ngawang Choki completed her treble at 73 minutes to wrap up the game in 7-0 by the full time.

“I am glad because my girls did much better comparing to our first outing. Despite not having training ground as and when needed, they have performed better” said Tshering Dhendup, assistant coach of Taktshang Women’s FC.

For the next match we will have Sunrise Women’s FC vs Paro Women’s FC on Saturday at Changlimithang.
