The last-gasp deciding goal from defender Kinley Tenzin earned PARO FC one of the toughest crucial 3 points of the season against TRANSPORT UNITED FC today at Woochu Sports Arena.
Having missed the penalty at 6 minutes by their striker and the top scorer Yeshi Dorji, it seemed that the day wasn’t for PFC today. The first half saw the visitors TRANSPORT UNITED FC in a fabulous form with one chance after another and at 36 minutes on the clock, their stunning striker Tsenda Dorji found the net when he converted an exceptional cross from their forward Jigdrel Wangchuk. However PFC leveled up the score shortly after 5 minutes when Tobden Drakpa nodded in a corner kick with a commendable precision.
The home team took the lead late at 81 minutes when the defender Kinley Tenzin slided in the winning goal of the day from the left corner of the post. “We had to make some strategic moves towards the end of the second half. I think we made a good move and then we were able to get the 3 points finally”, said the gaffer of PARO FC.
For the next match we will have TENSUNG FC vs GOMO FC at Changlingmithang.
