The Tigers humbles the army team
“We are not bothered about the goals but we just want to secure the 3 points” said the PFC gaffer Pushpalal and PARO FC did claim the 3 crucial points hammering 5 goals on the army team in their clash at Woochu Sports Arena today.
Netting the opening goal at 26 minutes when PARO FC Captain Jigme Tshering Dorji headed in the corner kick. The visitors as expected saw a tremendous pressure from the giant having to face attacks after attacks. PFC again went further ahead when Phub Thinley dribbled the ball all the way to the D area, breaking the tall defense of TENSUNG to double their lead at 34 minutes on the clock. Another one followed right before the break from Lobzang Chogyal when he gave a powerful blast ending the starting half in 3-0.
After the break, the newly substituted Dinesh found the net at 58th minute and Phub Thinley completed his brace for the day at 72 minutes hitting the ball that bounced back from the crossbar ending the scoring for the day. The strong army team found it hard to keep up with the pace and strategies of the hosts having to end the game without even a consolation goal. “The main thing is that it’s their home ground and it has just been 2 days that I changed the formation. That must be the reason of not being able to cover up well today” said Mr. Kinley, the coach of TENSUNG FC.
For the next match, we will have GOMO FC vs GELEPHU FC at Ugyen Academy ground on 17th July.
