UA takes home advantage
Ugyen Acedemy Women’s FC gets a very comfortable victory over the visitors Paro Women’s FC by humbling them 7-0 at Ugyen Academy ground today. This is the largest margin goal PWFC has conceded so far in the tourney of Kelme-Bhutan National Women’s League 2021.
The floodgate broke open at 6 minutes from the match commencement with a set piece as Captain Dorji Edon headed in the corner kick from their striking star Tshering Yangden to make UAWFC go in front. Moments after came the double from Tshering Yangden herself at 9 minutes followed by a goal from Jamyang Choden at 22 minutes. Tshering completed her brace at just 2 minutes later as she slide in the ball right pass Paro goalie Kinzang Dema. UA assist star Sunita Rain made 5 at 31 minutes.
Even after the interval the hosts went ahead slotting 2 goals. UAWFC got their 6th goal of the day through the stunning duo, Tshering Yangden and Sunita Rai as Tshering tapped in a precise cross from Sunita at 52 minutes. At 61 minutes came the wrap up goal of the day through Jamyang Choden as she found the net with her long range chip.
Paro WFC couldn’t impose much threat on the home team and basically had to park their bus, especially in the first half. In the second half the visitors got a few chances but having missed all of it, had to settle for 7-0 loss by the full time.
For the next match we will have Mandala FC vs Yangchenphug WFC at Changlingmithang tomorrow.
